Why Did Barack Obama say this about Exxon and Big Oil?

';U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama termed Exxon's earnings ';outrageous'; and called for an end to the ';tyranny of oil.';

Why Did Barack Obama say this about Exxon and Big Oil?
Naive Barrack fails to understand that the majority of Americans who have a 401K, IRA, mutual funds, or any other investment within the stock market have a direct stake in financial status of Exxon Mobil. For those of you who care, i posted a link of all of Exxon's major shareholders. Notice that the majority shareholders are all mutual funds.Why Did Barack Obama say this about Exxon and Big Oil?
Today's students are blind-sided by what they're being taught in colleges and universities about economics. It is transparently apparent that ';big oil'; fixes prices, gouges it customers and manipulates the market. Speculators are part of the 'greed factor', to be sure - but it starts with the puppetmasters at the very top, who dictate how much oil to distribute. Speculators and hedge fund operators then drive the price up based on fictitious 'availability' as dominated by 'big oil'. -RKO- 07/31/08
you need to unplug your thumb and get a clue-

if you bought the ';speculators'; line- you'll buy anything- even the mega-corps brainwashing-

poor poor oil companies- too bad there feelings will so hurt by what Obama said-

but its called

preditory corporations'; unregulated for 25 years - hmmm that puts us about back to the Reagan era - ';lets derugulate corporations';

and now look at the mess we got.
';Doesn't he know that Big Oil has nothing to do with Fuel Prices? ';

Of course they don't, accept for the fact that they decide how much oil they are going to pump. Get a grip man, wall street speculators use the production data to set the prices. Oil companies have control on the prices. It isn't complete control, but they have some control.
$90,000 a second. Seems a bit outrageous to me.
Since McCain came out for off shore drilling big oil has give his campaign over #800,000.
wow... so a business has no part in setting the price of it's goods...

why is gas different prices at different stations then? weird? and why do different stations get charged different prices for gas?

while there are outside circumstances... they can still price it however they want... there are no laws against it that I know of... it's not a utility...

it already sounds communist if they can't set their own prices?

is there anything that Republican's won't say to defend their precious oil companies?

I guess you think ENRON was great too... why did the government step in... HORRIBLE government...
